The Makeover Studio is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, inside the historic Lumber Exchange Building.Clients travel from across the United States—and beyond—to experience our personalized, one-on-one transformations. Whether you're local or planning a special trip, we'll provide everything you need to prepare for your visit, including recommendations for nearby hotels, parking, dining, and transportation.Our studio was designed to be a welcoming, private space where you can step away from everyday life, focus on yourself, and experience a transformation that goes far beyond appearance.

We suggest you arrive the day before your makeover, especially if you are flying in. You may also consider staying an extra day (or two) since your makeover may take longer. It doesn't help if you don’t feel rushed. Choose accommodations close to the studio. There are plenty of exceptional places to stay within blocks of our studio. Check out our lodging recommendations. Feel free to arrive early and relax at the coffee shop across the atrium from us. Wear something comfortable for the day, but bring something beautiful to change into for" your “big reveal.” Order lunch from a delivery service such as Door Dash or Uber Eats and enjoy the break with your fellow makeovers in progress. Make it a memory. Whether it's a casual dinner or a night on the town, plan something after your makeover and make the magic last.

At The Makeover Studio, we use a carefully selected collection of professional haircare, skincare, and makeup products chosen for their quality, performance, and results.Throughout your transformation, we'll explain the products we use, why we chose them, and how they complement your unique features, coloring, and lifestyle.If you'd like to recreate your new look at home, the products used during your makeover will be available for purchase. We'll provide personalized recommendations based on your individual needs—never a one-size-fits-all approach.

All Makeover Studio experiences take place in person at our studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota.We do not travel for makeovers or offer virtual makeover consultations.Many of our clients travel from across the country. However, the experience we offer at The Makeover Studio is a unique combination of personalized hair color, haircut, makeup instruction, seasonal color analysis, facial feature analysis, silhouette guidance, and confidence coaching—all designed to work together as one transformation.For many years, Christopher Hopkins developed and refined this approach, and we're honored to continue that legacy.If traveling to Minneapolis isn't possible right now, we encourage you to find professionals who specialize in consultation and personalized image design. Christopher's book, Staging Your Comeback, is also an excellent resource to help you better understand your features and communicate your goals with a local stylist.

We understand that life happens and plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 14 days' notice whenever possible.Because we reserve dedicated time for each personalized makeover experience, cancellations made with less than 14 days' notice may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.If you need to make a change to your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
